About us

This post is based within Centre for Cardiovascular Imaging, part of the Clinical Science Research Group within the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science (ICS) with the main clinical base at Barts Heart Centre (BHC), St Bartholomew Hospital. Barts Heart Centre emerged from the merger of three cardiac services into the new cardiovascular centre, resulting in a new world-class institution that will provide state of the art cardiovascular care to a population of six million people.

About the role

We wish to appoint to a full time, 12 month position, in the first instance (with funding being sought for extension), in the Institute of Cardiovascular Science (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/cardiovascular). The appointee will join a varied programme of work funded jointly by the British Heart Foundation, UCL/UCLH Biomedical Research Centre, Barts Charity and the European Commission Horizon 2020 program. This post will provide support to the research programme conducted by the group.

About you

Substantial experience of working in a similar role in a research environment . Experience of working with the general public in a clinical setting . A graduate in a Biomedical Science degree, or equivalent experience . A knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) . Good communication and organisation skills to prioritise and deliver tasks on time . A meticulous approach to practical work and record keeping.
