Salary: £24,520 – £36,360 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction

BBC Audio is looking for a dynamic and engaged PMA to support the Production Management Community – covering a variety of tasks: including responsibility for the smooth running of production offices and being a key point of contact for Controller BBC Audio and the Production Management Leadership team

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Production, the Production Management Assistant will assist the team in BBC Audio HQ, the Production Managers in London and regional BBC Audio production teams who use Broadcasting House as a base when they record their programmes in London. Day to day tasks would include organising transport and travel arrangements for teams, studio & workshop bookings, managing IT and phone assets, locker allocation as well as helping with desk allocation, daily statistics, staff rotas and annual leave requests, databases and IT requests.


You’ll also assist the production coordinators with travel and accommodation bookings and visa requests for production teams as well as production paperwork and music reporting in Proteus (this is a Radio specific system which is used for all aspects of programme paperwork), liaising with Facilities Management, ordering office supplies, allocating production equipment and being the first port of call for any questions the team members may have. You’ll also be contributing to, and helping to implement, practical actions to reduce environmental impact throughout production.

Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, pro-active and have good organisational skills – the ability to multi-task and prioritise as well as being a good team player. You will have some experience of providing administrative support, demonstrable experience of working collaboratively and supporting a team / working with other people with well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

You will ideally also have experience of using BBC systems or the ability to adopt new technologies and a willingness to learn new skills.
